No. 4 Norfolk State tops No. 13 Delaware State in Opening Round < All News

NORFOLK, Va. — Rae Corbo finished with 14 points to lead No. 4 Norfolk State past No. 13 Delaware State, 70-45, on Monday afternoon during the opening round of the 2015 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Basketball Tournament at the Norfolk Scope Arena.

The Spartans (13-15) will face the winner of the No. 5 South Carolina State vs. No. 12 Howard matchup on Thursday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m.

Kayla Roberts, the MEAC Rookie of the Year, registered 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Koryn Lawrence added 10 points and three assists as Norfolk State led 32-14 at the half.

Amber Bogard led Delaware State (5-25) with 18 points, seven blocks and four rebounds. Nikkei Blackburn finished with seven points and four rebounds.
