Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University is a four-year, public, co-educational and fully accredited institution that was founded in 1887. The main campus is comprised of 156 buildings; spread over 422 acres that are on the highest of seven hills in Tallahassee, Fla. The University has 13 schools and colleges and one institute. The university also offers a juris doctorate at its College of Law, in Orlando, Fla. Florida A&M has 11 doctoral programs, which includes 10 Ph.D. programs.
